Biography
Originating from Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusian band Los Delinquentes was formed in 1998 by Miguel Ángel Benítez "Er Migue" and Marcos del Ojo, later joined by Diego Pozo "Er Ratón". Known for blending rhythms of their native land with a playful pop-funk style infused with rock and blues, the band incorporated Andalusian dialect expressions. After announcing their split in 2012, members pursued solo projects. Migue tragically passed away before completing his solo album, released posthumously, while El Canijo embarked on a successful solo career and collaborations with other artists, including the band Estricnina.
Following the band's dissolution, the members of Los Delinquentes pursued individual music ventures. El Canijo de Jerez released several solo albums, including "El Nuevo Despertar de la Farándula Cósmica" and "La Lengua Chivata," as well as collaborations such as "Estricnina" with Juanito Makandé and "Manual de Jaleo." Meanwhile, Er Ratón recorded new tracks for the revival of his former group Palocortao before joining bands like Muchachito Bombo Infierno and Kiko Veneno. In 2018, he launched a new project, "Astola & Raton: El Hombre Caracol." Additionally, bassist Dani Quiñones, an active member of Er Ratón's band, introduced his new group La Tarambana in 2017.
