Biography

Los Bukis, formed by singer/songwriter Marco Antonio Solís and guitarist Joel Solís, dominated the Mexican music scene from 1975 to 1996. Their fusion of traditional folk genres with modern rock and pop elements garnered widespread acclaim. The band's debut album, Falso Amor, featured the hit title track which sold over a million copies. Los Bukis' success continued with albums like Me Volví A Acordar De Ti and Por Amor a Mi Pueblo, the latter achieving gold certification in the United States. After a 25-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2021 and embarked on a successful tour, culminating in a historic concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Initially known as Los Hermanitos Solís, Los Bukis was founded by Marco Antonio Solís and Joel Solís, later expanding to include additional members. The band's early albums, such as Casas De Carton (Falso Amor) and Te Tuve Y Te Perdi, quickly gained popularity, leading to Grammy nominations and chart-topping releases. Over the years, Los Bukis released several successful albums, with hits like "A Donde Vayas" and "Cómo Fuí a Enamorarme de Tí" earning critical acclaim and commercial success. Following their final album in 1995, Marco Antonio Solís pursued a solo career, while the remaining members formed Los Mismos.
