Formed in 1998 in Loja, Spain, Lori Meyers began as a quartet before expanding to a quintet with Sergio Martín taking over bass duties. The band gained attention with their debut album Viaje de Estudios in 2004, released on the indie label Houston Party Records. Their subsequent releases, including the EPs La Caza and the full-length Hostal Pimodán, garnered critical acclaim and led to a major-label deal with La Incubadora, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, resulting in a reissue of Hostal Pimodán in 2006.

Lori Meyers continued their success with albums like Cronolánea in 2008, Cuando el Destino Nos Alcance in 2010, and Impronta in 2013, all reaching high positions on the Spanish albums chart. Their consistent chart success extended into the next decade with releases such as the EP A Solas in 2014 and the chart-topping album En la Espiral in 2017, showcasing their enduring popularity and critical acclaim in the Spanish music scene.
