Biography
Lords of the Underground, a rap group from Newark, NJ, blend socially conscious lyrics with aggressive beats. Formed by Doitall and Mr. Funke, who met DJ Lord Jazz at Shaw University, the group quickly gained recognition with hit singles like "Psycho," "Funky Child," and "Chief Rocka." Despite early success, their second album, Keepers of the Funk, did not match the acclaim of their debut. After a hiatus, they returned in 1999 with their third album, Resurrection.
