Looking Glass

Looking Glass, formed in the late '60s by Elliot Lurie, Pieter Sweval, and Larry Gonsky, found success in the early '70s with their hit song "Brandy." Despite their chart success, the band struggled with their identity, as their on-stage rock sound differed significantly from their radio-friendly hits. Lurie eventually left the group in 1974, pursuing a solo career with mixed results, while the remaining members continued briefly as "Lookinglass" before disbanding in the mid-'70s.

In subsequent years, Lurie transitioned to the motion picture business, working on various film scores and productions. He later reunited with Sweval to revive Looking Glass as a touring band in 2003, performing a mix of their hits, album tracks, and cover songs. The band's legacy remains tied to their nostalgic '70s sound, despite their internal struggles with commercial success and artistic identity.
