Biography

American R&B singer Lloyd, born on January 3, 1986, in New Orleans and raised in Atlanta, began his music career as a member of the teen pop group N-Toon in 1996. He gained recognition for his vocal talents and was signed by Irv Gotti to The Inc. label, later associated with Def Jam. Lloyd's solo debut, "Southside," a duet with Ashanti, was released in July 2004 and received positive reception on urban radio and music television channels. His subsequent albums, including Street Love in 2007 and Lessons in Love in 2008, showcased his evolving sound and collaborations with artists like Lil Wayne.

In 2011, Lloyd released King of Hearts under Zone 4/Interscope before taking a hiatus from music to focus on personal matters. He returned in 2016 with the Tru EP, followed by the full-length Tru LP in 2018, which featured the single "Caramel." Lloyd's career has been marked by a blend of R&B and pop influences, solidifying his place in the music industry as a versatile and talented artist.
