Biography
Los Angeles-based musician Chuck Wild, under the moniker Liquid Mind, creates ambient instrumental music focused on relaxation and wellness. The Liquid Mind series, which debuted in the early-'90s, has been a popular fixture on new age charts and a celebrated tool in music therapy. Wild's diverse music career includes stints in the new wave band Missing Persons and as a songwriter and session keyboardist for artists like Frank Zappa and Michael Jackson. The project was born out of personal therapy during a stressful period in the late-'80s, leading to the release of Liquid Mind's first album, Ambience Minimus, in 1994.
Over the years, Liquid Mind has become Wild's most successful venture, with albums like Liquid Mind V: Serenity (2001) and Liquid Mind XI: Deep Sleep (2016) gaining acclaim. Wild has collaborated with music therapists to tailor his compositions for specific treatments and experiences, earning recognition from the American Music Therapy Association. His work has consistently dominated new age charts and topped iTunes' new age chart. Liquid Mind continues to thrive, with the release of the 13th album, Mindfulness, in 2020.
