Lil Duval, also known as Roland Powell, is a multi-talented entertainer hailing from Jacksonville, Florida. Starting in stand-up comedy in Atlanta, he gained recognition after a competition in Oakland with the support of Cedric the Entertainer. Beyond his successful stand-up career, Lil Duval has made appearances in various films and has also been featured in rap recordings, collaborating with artists such as Trae tha Truth, Three 6 Mafia, Devin the Dude, and T.I. His hit single "Smile (Living My Best Life)" featuring Snoop Dogg was released in 2018, showcasing his musical prowess alongside his comedic talents.

Throughout the early 2000s, Lil Duval made a name for himself in the entertainment industry, featuring in comedy specials, movies like Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming and Scary Movie 5, and music videos for artists like Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Wale, and E-40.
