Leandro & Leonardo

Sertaneja duo Leandro y Leonardo, consisting of brothers Luís José Costa (Leandro) and Emival Eterno Costa (Leonardo), emerged from humble beginnings, honing their musical skills through various performances and local gigs. Encouraged by their uncle, the duo transitioned to city life, adopting the stage name Leandro y Leonardo and gradually gaining recognition through live shows and self-produced recordings. Their breakthrough came with the release of Entre Tapas e Beijos in 1988, propelling them to become one of Brazil's most prominent sertaneja duos, selling millions of records and achieving widespread acclaim.

Tragically, Leandro passed away from cancer in 1998, leaving behind a devoted fan base and a legacy of musical success. Leonardo continued his career as a solo artist, releasing multiple albums in honor of his late brother, including his debut solo record Tempo in 1999. Despite the loss of his partner, Leonardo has persevered in the music industry, maintaining a significant presence in the Brazilian music scene.
