Latimore

Latimore, known for his deep, sultry voice, made a mark in the mid-'70s with a blend of soul and blues under Miami's Glades label. Initially known as Benny Latimore, he found success in 1973 with a rendition of T-Bone Walker's "Stormy Monday," followed by hits like "Let's Straighten It Out" and "Keep the Home Fires Burnin'." Producing most of his Glades hits in Miami with Steve Alaimo, Latimore also worked as a house pianist for TK Records. Moving to Malaco in the '80s, he continued to release music until 2000, then establishing his own label, Latstone, in 2007 and recording into the late 2010s.

Latimore's career flourished in the mid-'70s with Glades, showcasing his soulful voice and bluesy style. Hits like "Stormy Monday," "Let's Straighten It Out," and "Keep the Home Fires Burnin'" propelled him to stardom. Working closely with producer Steve Alaimo in Miami, Latimore also contributed as a house pianist for TK Records. Transitioning to Malaco in the '80s, he maintained his appeal and continued to release music until 2000. In 2007, Latimore founded his own label, Latstone, and remained active in the music scene well into the late 2010s.
