Biography
Formed in 2009 in North Texas, Kublai Khan is a metalcore quartet known for their aggressive sound blending monstrous riffs and thrashing blastbeats with socially conscious lyrics addressing racism, depression, and addiction. The band, consisting of Nolan Ashley, Matt Honeycutt, Eric English, and Isaac Lamb, self-released their debut EP, "Youth War," in 2011, and have since toured extensively, opening for bands like the Acacia Strain and Fit for a King. Signing to Artery Recordings in 2014, Kublai Khan released their debut full-length album, "Balancing Survival and Happiness," followed by "New Strength" in 2015 and "Nomad" in 2017 after signing with Rise Records.
