Kix

Kix, the hard rock band from Baltimore, was known for their energetic live performances and catchy songs, despite only having one hit with the power ballad "Don't Close Your Eyes" from their 1988 album Blow My Fuse. They were praised for their superior songwriting and musical abilities, standing out in the hard rock/heavy metal scene of the late '70s and early '80s. Despite critical acclaim, Kix struggled to achieve mainstream success and faced financial challenges, especially with the changing music landscape in the early '90s dominated by grunge.

After disbanding in the mid-'90s, Kix members pursued various musical projects, with lead singer Steve Whiteman forming Funny Money. Kix reunited in the early 2000s, continuing to perform live and releasing new music. Their 2014 album Rock Your Face Off received positive reception, showcasing that Kix's music still resonated with fans years later, nearly matching the success of their breakthrough album Blow My Fuse.
