Bulgarian techno artist KiNK, also known as Strahil Velchev, is renowned for his electrifying live performances where he skillfully maneuvers analog synthesizers and controllers across various genres like house, techno, and acid. With an improvisatory approach inspired by jazz and the energy of the early rave era, KiNK's music has garnered international acclaim since around 2008, leading to performances at renowned clubs and festivals worldwide. Originating from Sofia, Bulgaria, Velchev developed his unique sound by blending influences from Detroit, Chicago, and the U.K. dance music scenes, eventually founding the collective pBPM to showcase local electronic talent. KiNK's solo and collaborative releases, including the critically acclaimed "Cloud Generator" and albums like Playground, showcase his diverse range and experimental nature.
