Biography

Kenya Grace Johnson, a singer-songwriter and producer from Southampton, England, discovered her musical talent at a young age with a second-hand Yamaha keyboard. She pursued her passion for music at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, graduating in 2019 with a degree in songwriting and creative artistry. After debuting with singles like "Obsessed" and "Tell Me Why," her breakthrough came with the 2023 drum and bass hit "Strangers," composed and produced in her bedroom, which topped the UK charts and propelled her to global fame. Following the success of "Strangers," she released a series of tracks like "Only in My Mind," "Paris," and "It's Not Fair," leading up to her debut EP, The After Taste, which peaked at number 7 on the US dance charts in March 2024.
