Hailing from Berlin, French musician David Letellier, known as Kangding Ray, creates meticulously crafted electronic music that combines avant-garde sound design with visceral impact. Starting with experimental albums like 2006's Stabil, he later ventured into more club-oriented releases such as 2010's Pruitt Igoe and conceptual works like 2015's Cory Arcane.

Letellier, who previously played guitar and drums in bands, transitioned to electronic music production.
