German rapper Gzuz rose to prominence in 2009 as a member of the Hamburg-based hip-hop collective 187 Strassenbande. The group's music is heavily influenced by hardcore gangster rap, with their self-titled debut album released in 2009. Following a brief hiatus due to Gzuz's three-year prison sentence for predatory theft, he returned in 2013 to collaborate with fellow 187 Strassenbande member Bonez MC on the successful album "High & Hungrig." Gzuz also achieved solo success with his debut album "Ebbe & Flut" in 2015, which reached number two on the German charts. In 2016, his collaborative album with Bonez, "High & Hungrig 2," secured the number one spot, solidifying his position in the German rap scene. Throughout his career, Gzuz has maintained a strong presence through collaborations with various artists within the German rap community.
