Biography

South Korean girl group EXID gained popularity in 2014 when their single "Up & Down" went viral, reaching number one on the Gaon chart. Since then, they have consistently achieved Top Ten success in Korea with each of their EP releases, as well as charting in Japan with albums like Trouble and B.L.E.S.S.E.D. In 2022, they celebrated their tenth anniversary with the release of the single album X.

Formed in 2012 by producer Shinsadong Tiger and AB Entertainment, EXID consists of members Solji, Elly, Hani, Hyelin, and Jeonghwa. The group's early singles, including "Whoz That Girl" and "Up & Down," paved the way for their success, leading to the release of their debut album Street in 2016. Despite facing challenges such as Solji's health hiatus, EXID continued to thrive, touring and releasing music like the EPs Eclipse and Full Moon.
