Espinoza Paz, a renowned singer-songwriter, has established a successful career both nationally and internationally in the realms of composing and performing. Born Isidro Chávez Espinoza in Angostura, Sinaloa, he honors his late mother, María de la Paz Espinoza, by adopting the artistic name Espinoza Paz.
Paz, proud of his Sinaloan roots, is known for pioneering the Mariachi Modernista genre.
