Formed in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy, the band experienced early success before vocalist Nico Sallach joined in 2020, leading to the breakout hit "Hypa Hypa" which garnered over 60 million plays. The subsequent singles "We Got The Moves" and "Pump It" from the album "TEKKNO" continued to generate buzz with their humorous music videos. In March 2022, the band changed their name to Electric Callboy, releasing "TEKKNO" under the new moniker, showcasing a blend of genres and collaborations including features from rapper FiNCH and post-hardcore band Conquer Divide. The band's latest single "Hurrikan" playfully mocks Ballermann Schlager stereotypes before delving into a deathcore narrative, reflecting their ethos of embracing fun and creativity.
