Biography

Lebanese singer Elissa, born Elissar Zakaria Khoury on October 27, 1971, in Deir el Ahmar, Lebanon, rose to fame in the late 1990s. Her debut album, Baddy Doub, released in 1999, featured the hit single of the same name. Elissa's subsequent albums, including W'akherta Ma'ak (2000) and A'ayshalak (2002), solidified her position as a prominent figure in Arabic pop music. She gained further recognition with her fourth album, Ahla Dounya (2004), released under the Rotana label.
