Denis Leary

Denis Leary, born in Worcester, MA in 1957, gained fame through his one-man show "No Cure for Cancer," which debuted in Scotland and later received critical acclaim in the U.S. The show led to a filmed version for Showtime, an album, and a book. Leary's rise to stardom included snarky promotional clips for MTV and starring roles in films like "The Ref" and "Two If by Sea," despite some setbacks. He continued to stay active in various projects, including a sequel to "No Cure for Cancer" and a music album titled "Lock 'N Load" featuring Janeane Garofalo.

In 1990, during a trip to London for a BBC broadcast, Leary's wife unexpectedly gave birth, leading to an extended stay where he wrote his breakthrough show. Following its success, Leary's career expanded to include TV appearances and film roles, despite the mixed reception of projects like "Two If by Sea." He remained prolific, releasing the album "Lock 'N Load" in 1997, showcasing his talents alongside fellow comedian Janeane Garofalo.
