Biography

After spending years traveling the world for a French TV channel, Canal+, David Walters returned to music in 2020 with the release of Soleil Kréyol, a Creole Soul album produced by Patchworks. Evoking influences from ‘70s club culture and his Afro-Caribbean roots, Walters sings much of the album in Martinican Creole against a percussive backdrop. Following the success of Soleil Kréyol, Walters recently released Nocturne, an acoustic album featuring master musicians Ballaké Sissoko, Vincent Segal, and Roger Raspail. This project presents a more meditative and melancholic sound, showcasing a journey in chiaroscuro with delicate sweetness.
