Biography

Dave Stewart, known as one-half of Eurythmics, was a successful producer and occasional solo artist, born in Sunderland, England in 1952. After the Tourists disbanded in 1980, Stewart and Annie Lennox formed Eurythmics, achieving international success with hits like "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" and "Here Comes the Rain Again." Stewart went on to produce for artists like Aretha Franklin and Mick Jagger.

Following Eurythmics' decline in the late '80s, Stewart pursued solo and collaborative projects, including film scoring and activism. He co-produced Jon Bon Jovi's album "Destination Anywhere" in 1997 and worked with Nelson Mandela on a charitable initiative. Stewart continued releasing solo albums, such as "The Blackbird Diaries" and "Lucky Numbers," and published his memoir in 2016. His diverse career includes collaborations with artists like Martina McBride and Joss Stone, showcasing his musical versatility and philanthropic endeavors.
