Daniel Rossen, born in Los Angeles in 1982, is a versatile musician known for his roles in Grizzly Bear, Department of Eagles, and as a solo artist. Starting with cassette tape experiments in high school, Rossen's early releases with Department of Eagles in the 2000s showcased his talent for crafting unique soundscapes. His journey continued through collaborations with Grizzly Bear, leading to the breakthrough album "Yellow House" in 2006.
Rossen's musical evolution saw him co-create the album "In Ear Park" in 2007 with Department of Eagles and Grizzly Bear members, followed by Grizzly Bear's acclaimed release, "Veckatimest," in 2009. His solo efforts culminated in the 2012 EP "Silent Hour/Golden Mile," a collection of introspective songs crafted during breaks from touring with Grizzly Bear.
