Dan Tyminski, born in 1967 in Rutland, Vermont, grew up immersed in country and bluegrass music. Starting with the mandolin and later mastering the banjo and vocals, he began his professional music career with the Green Mountain Bluegrass Band. Joining the Lonesome River Band in 1988, he contributed to award-winning albums and hit singles, including collaborations with Alison Krauss & Union Station.
In the 1990s, Tyminski worked with various renowned artists before gaining widespread recognition for his vocal performance on "Hey Brother," a 2013 hit by Avicii. This success led to the release of his diverse 2017 album, Southern Gothic, showcasing his exploration of new musical territories beyond bluegrass. Throughout his career, Tyminski's versatile talents have earned him acclaim and opportunities to collaborate across genres.
