Biography

D4L, an Atlanta quartet, gained fame in 2005 with their hit single "Laffy Taffy," known for its catchy hooks and risqué lyrics. The group, consisting of Fa-bo, Mook-B, Stoney, and Shawty Lo, signed with Atlantic-distributed Asylum, releasing their debut album, Down for Life, in November 2005, which reached the Top 25. Following their initial success, Shawty Lo pursued a solo career but tragically passed away in a hit-and-run accident outside an Atlanta club in 2016 at the age of 40.
