Biography

Cristiano Araújo was a prominent figure in the new generation of sertanejo music, known for his strong voice and charisma. Born in Goiânia, he began singing at a young age, gaining recognition among the most well-known sertanejo singers in Brazil. His career took off with the success of his first hit, "Efeitos," released in 2011 in collaboration with Jorge from the duo Jorge & Mateus. Araújo went on to record four albums and tour extensively in Brazil, the United States, and Europe. Some of his most popular songs include "Caso Indefinido," "Cê que sabe," "É com ela que eu estou," and "Mente pra mim."

Tragically, Cristiano Araújo passed away at the age of 29 in a car accident in rural Goiás in June 2015. In honor of his artistic legacy, a posthumous single titled "POR QUE" has been released, with the support of Araújo's family and Som Livre, allowing fans to hear his voice once again.
