Biography
Hailing from Cambridge, U.K., the duo Commix, comprising Guy Brewer and George Levings, deviate from the typical junglist sound with their techno influences. Inspired by legends like Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Carl Craig, they made their debut in 2003 with the single "Feel Something" released by Blue Sonix's label Aquasonic. The group evolved over time, with third member Conrad Whittle departing, leading to a more pronounced techno influence in their music. They released multiple 12"s for labels like Hospital, Good Looking Records, and Doc Scott's 31 Records before dropping their debut album, Call to Mind, on Metalheadz, featuring a guest appearance from Steve Spacek and a remix from Underground Resistance.
