Born in Nantes in 1979, David Grellier, known as College, is a French electronic music composer who gained early inspiration from artists like Jeff Mills and Aphex Twin and labels such as Soma Records and Warp. In 2007, he launched Valerie, a blog that has since evolved into a record label and a global network of artists. College's breakthrough came in 2011 when his track "A Real Hero" with Electric Youth was featured in the film Drive, directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, leading to widespread acclaim and support from prominent music publications.
