Biography

Choking Victim was a New York City ska-punk band with members Stza, Alec, and Skwert, who lived in squats on the Lower East Side. Originally known as No Commercial Value, the band transitioned to Choking Victim in the '90s, releasing singles like the Crack Rock Steady EP and "Squatta's Paradise" before signing to Hellcat for their album No Gods, No Managers in 1999. Despite breaking up during recording, the band salvaged enough material for the release. Following their disbandment, Stza and Ezra formed Leftover Crack, while Ezra also played in INDK with Skwert.
