Chinmaya Dunster

Born in Kent, England in 1954, Chinmaya studied Hindustani classical music on the sarod from 1984 to 2002. Since his debut in 1990, he has released over twenty CDs of East-West fusion world music and New Age music. Notable moments in his career include forming the Celtic Ragas Band to perform at Paul McCartney's wedding in 2002 and raising awareness about environmental issues in India with his Green Ragas Band. Chinmaya currently resides in Totnes, UK, and his recent work focuses on creating music that explores expanded consciousness, with singles like "At the Edge" and "The World's Treasure."

Despite not using social media, Chinmaya has continued to be productive during the coronavirus lockdown, releasing a series of duets featuring himself on sarod and classical guitar. Some of his recent releases during this period include "Ragas Relax II," "Moment Without Motive" (in two parts), and "As Above So Below." His music remains a blend of cultural influences and spiritual themes, reflecting his diverse musical background and ongoing creative exploration.
