Chadwick Stokes

Chadwick Stokes, known for his work with bands Dispatch and State Radio, is a Boston-based singer/songwriter and activist. Stokes began his musical career in the '90s at Middlebury College, forming Dispatch with Pete Francis Heimbold and Brad Corrigan. The band achieved success through grassroots efforts and peer-to-peer file-sharing networks before Stokes went on to form State Radio and later pursue a solo career, releasing albums with both bands and as a solo artist.

Stokes signed with Nettwerk Records for his solo debut in 2011 and continued to record and tour with State Radio and Dispatch. He collaborated with producer Sam Beam for his second solo album, The Horse Comanche, and later formed a band called the Pintos for the release of Chadwick Stokes & the Pintos in 2019. Stokes' music blends elements of punk, rock, and reggae, reflecting his socially and politically charged songwriting.
