Celly Cel

Born as Marcellus McCarver, Celly Cel hails from Vallejo, CA, where he began crafting his hardcore gangsta lyrics and G-funk sounds in the early 1990s. His debut album, Heat 4 Yo Azz, emerged in 1994 under E-40's Sick Wid It label, quickly followed by the successful Killa Kali in 1995. Between releases, Celly collaborated with various artists, eventually parting ways with Sick Wid It to launch his own label, Realside, in 2000. He continued to release albums and projects, including the Criminalz supergroup with Spice 1 and Jayo Felony, showcasing his unwavering dedication to the West Coast rap scene over the years.
