Biography

Formed in 2007 by Brazilian metal icons Max and Igor Cavalera of Sepultura fame, Cavalera Conspiracy combines death and thrash metal with hardcore punk and groove elements. Releasing four studio albums between 2008 and 2017, the band shortened its name to Cavalera and re-recorded Sepultura's debut album, Morbid Visions, in 2023.

The Cavalera brothers ended a decade-long feud to create Cavalera Conspiracy, joined by guitarist Marc Rizzo and bassist Joe Duplantier for their Roadrunner Records debut, Inflikted, in 2008. The band continued with Blunt Force Trauma in 2011, Pandemonium in 2014, and Psychosis in 2017. After Rizzo's departure, the brothers released re-recordings of Sepultura's early works in 2023 under the Cavalera name.
