Puerto Rican experimental pop duo Buscabulla, Raquel Berríos and Luis Alfredo Del Valle, moved to the mainland United States to pursue their dreams but always felt a deep longing for their island. In New York City, they developed their unique sound, blending Raquel's textured vocals with Luis Alfredo's poignant basslines and minimalist melodies inspired by salsa, R&B, and reggaeton.

Their first two EPs, produced by Dev Hynes, gained international attention, but in 2018, after Hurricane María devastated Puerto Rico, the duo decided to move back home. This decision inspired their debut album, "Regresa" (meaning "return"), which reflects their bittersweet journey back to the island, filled with angst and introspection, calling for self-reflection and perseverance in the face of uncertainty.
