Burcu Güneş

Born in Izmir, Burcu Güneş composed her first song at the age of 12 and had her first stage experience at 13. She received vocal, articulation, and solfege lessons at the Izmir 9 Eylül State Conservatory. In 1998, she released her debut album "Aşk Yarası," becoming the best-selling female pop artist of the year. With her own lyrics and melodies, she solidified her producer role in the album, and her 2001 release "Tılsım" surpassed 2 million copies, making it the top-selling pop album of the year. Güneş continued her successful career with albums and singles like "Ay Şahit," collaborating with Ceza in the song "Sahilden," which opened a new chapter in Turkish rap music. She celebrated her 20th year in the industry by releasing a special album titled "Anadolu’nun Güneşi," featuring 12 folk songs, which gained popularity on ethnic radio stations in the US and music charts in Sweden, Spain, and Denmark. Throughout her career, Güneş has earned numerous awards, including Artist of the Year, Best Female Singer, Best Album, Best Song, and Best Duet.
