Biography

Born in Palma de Mallorca, Spain in 1972, Buika is a jazz-influenced flamenco fusion singer who gained mainstream success with her breakout album Mi Niña Lola in 2006. Raised on a mix of jazz and flamenco, she began her singing career in Majorca before signing with Dro Atlantic and collaborating with producer Javier Limón for her early albums. Buika's subsequent releases, including Niña de Fuego and El Último Trago, further solidified her reputation in the music industry, with the latter winning a Latin Grammy for Best Traditional Tropical Album in 2010.

After relocating to Miami in 2011, Buika continued to expand her musical horizons, working with a diverse range of collaborators for her 2013 album La Noche Más Larga. With her unique blend of flamenco, jazz, and soulful vocals, Buika has established herself as a versatile and talented artist with a global following.
