Bucks Fizz

The British quartet Bucks Fizz emerged as one of the most successful bands of the early '80s, winning the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest and achieving multiple chart-topping hits such as "Making Your Mind Up" and "The Land of Make Believe." Led by the production team of Nicola Martin and Andy Hill, the group's lineup included Jay Aston, Cheryl Baker, Bobby G, and Mike Nolan. Despite lineup changes and diminishing chart success in the mid-'80s, Bucks Fizz continued to release music and tour, with various iterations of the band led by former members David Van Day and Bobby G.

In the years following their initial success, Bucks Fizz underwent multiple lineup changes and legal battles, with different versions of the band touring and recording music. Original members Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan, Bobby G, and Shelley Preston reunited for special performances and recordings, including a charity cover of the Proclaimers' "500 Miles." While the band's chart career eventually ended in 1988, the legacy of Bucks Fizz lives on through the continued musical endeavors of former members and various incarnations of the group.
