Baritone Bryn Terfel, born Bryn Terfel Jones on November 9, 1965, in Pant Glas, Wales, has been a celebrated singer since the 1990s. He rose to fame after winning major prizes at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the 1989 Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, catching the attention of esteemed conductors like Sir Georg Solti.
