Biography

Argentine pianist and composer Bruno Sanfilippo, based in Barcelona, is known for his work with strings, piano, and electronics. Starting in 1998 as a producer for his label ad21, he has collaborated with various other labels including 7K! and Moderna Records. Sanfilippo's Piano Textures series, initiated in 2007, is among his most notable works, with one of his compositions serving as the inspiration for rapper Drake's hit song 'Started From The Bottom'. He also has solo and collaborative albums exclusively on Bandcamp, some physically released by American labels between 2008 and 2012.

As a co-owner of ad21, Sanfilippo has opened its doors to pianists globally, and his latest project, the EP 'Only Five Petals', showcases his exploration of his Kawai RX-3 grand piano. Under the name Onix, he combines contemporary electronic sounds with traditional orchestration, presenting his unique blend at live events and festivals worldwide.
