Initially influenced by drum‘n'bass in London, James, born in Slough, Berkshire, transitioned to dubstep after signing with Digital Soundboy following a successful debut album in 2006. Known for his remixes and collaboration with artists like Florence and the Machine and Massive Attack, James gained recognition on Radio 1 and released two more albums in 2010 and 2015. His sound evolved to incorporate minimal rhythms and heavy basslines, solidifying his place in the dubstep genre.
