Bratmobile, alongside Bikini Kill, led the riot grrrl movement in the early 1990s, challenging male dominance in punk and empowering a new wave of female musicians and fans. The trio, consisting of Allison Wolfe, Erin Smith, and Molly Neuman, debuted at the 1991 International Pop Underground convention in Olympia, Washington, and released their LP "Pottymouth" in 1993, followed by "The Real Janelle EP" in 1994. After disbanding, members pursued other projects before re-forming in 1999 to tour with Sleater-Kinney and release the album "Ladies, Women, and Girls" in 2000.
