Biography
Boikot is a socially conscious Spanish ska-punk-rock-balkanic-patxanga band from Madrid, formed in 1987. They gained recognition with albums like 'Los ojos de la calle' (1990) and 'Tu Condena' (1996). The band embarked on the 'La Ruta del Ché' trilogy project from 1997 to 1999, drawing inspiration from Hispanic music during tours in countries like Cuba and Argentina. Subsequent releases include 'De espaldas al mundo' (2002) and 'Lágrimas de Rabia' (2012).
In 2017, Boikot released the single 'Jarama' for the short film of the same name, and followed up with 'Hablarán las Calles' (2018). The band introduced new members in late 2018 with the single 'Lloraré', showcasing Julio Maloa (vocals), Albert Benavent (trumpet), and Jano (oboe).
