Blood Raw

Blood Raw, born Bruce Falson, kickstarted his rap career while serving time in a Florida prison in the mid-‘90s, honing his skills and adopting the moniker "Blood Raw." After his release in 1998, he worked at the Hip-Hop Café in Atlanta before returning to Panama City to form his own rap crew. Joining Young Jeezy's U.S.D.A. in 2004, he signed with Corporate Thugz Entertainment (CTE) and released mixtapes like Cold Summer (2007) and solo projects like Indictment Papers and The Street Love Blood Raw.

Despite facing federal drug-trafficking charges in 2004, Blood Raw was acquitted in 2006, allowing him to promote U.S.D.A.'s mixtape and his solo work. His refusal of offers from labels like Grand Hustle and Asylum led him to CTE and collaborations with DJ Drama and DJ Smallz, setting the stage for his debut album.
