Black Tide

Black Tide, a group of teenage musicians aged 14 to 19, draw inspiration from classic metal bands like Metallica and Slayer, as well as guitar virtuosos Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, and Steve Vai. Their heavy-hitting speed metal sound harkens back to the mid-'80s and caught the attention of Interscope Records after their performance at Ozzfest in 2007. Their debut album, Light from Above, was released in 2008 and debuted at number 73 on the Billboard 200, leading to a tour with Avenged Sevenfold. The band underwent lineup changes for their sophomore album, Post Mortem, and continued to evolve with releases like Chasing Shadows in 2015, maintaining a core lineup of Gabriel Garcia, Austin Diaz, and Cody Paige.
