Biography
After being fired from the Clash in 1983, Mick Jones formed Big Audio Dynamite in 1984, continuing the experimental funk elements of his former band. Their debut album, This Is Big Audio Dynamite, included hits like "E=MC2" and "Medicine Show." Their second album, No. 10, Upping St., featured co-production and writing from Joe Strummer and spawned successful singles "C'mon Every Beatbox" and "V. Thirteen."
Following a split in 1989, Mick Jones formed Big Audio Dynamite II, achieving success with the hit "Rush" in 1991. The band later shortened their name to Big Audio and released Higher Power in 1994. After parting ways with Epic, they signed with Radioactive and released F-Punk in 1995, featuring the college radio hit "I Turned Out a Punk." Mick Jones went on to produce records for bands like the Libertines.
