Hailing from Raleigh, North Carolina, Between the Buried and Me is a versatile metal band that seamlessly blends various subgenres, including death, prog, technical, and math metal, with elements of blues. Their evolution from the intense The Silent Circus in 2003 to the critically acclaimed Colors in 2007 showcased their ability to create complex, innovative music. Over the years, the band has continued to push boundaries with releases like Coma Ecliptic in 2015 and the conceptual two-part Automata in 2018, culminating in the highly anticipated Colors II in 2021.

Formed in 2000 by members of various metal bands, Between the Buried and Me quickly gained recognition through their debut album and subsequent releases. With a dedicated fan base, the band signed with Victory Records in 2002 and continued to experiment with their sound, releasing albums like Alaska in 2005 and The Great Misdirect in 2009.
