Beto Guedes

Beto Guedes, known for his Beatles-inspired pop music infused with countercultural and ecological themes, produced hits like "Amor de Índio," "Lumiar," "O Medo de Amar é o Medo de Ser Livre," "Luz e Mistério," "O Sal da Terra," and "Canção do Novo Mundo." His compositions have been covered by artists such as Elis Regina, Milton Nascimento, and Simone. A member of the Clube da Esquina collective from Minas Gerais, he released his first solo album, "A Página do Relâmpago Elétrico," in 1977, followed by nine more albums up to 1999.

Starting his music career with the group Beevers alongside Lô Borges, Beto Guedes gained recognition for his participation in the VFIC with "Feira Moderna" and collaborations on Milton Nascimento's albums. A key figure in the 1973 collective project with Danilo Caymmi, Novelli, and Toninho Horta, Guedes continued to make music that resonated with audiences, showcasing his unique blend of influences and lyrical themes throughout his extensive discography.
