Benoît Pioulard

Thomas Meluch, known as Benoît Pioulard, creates dreamy songs and ambient pieces by blending found sounds, electronics, and bittersweet pop. His music spans structured compositions on earlier albums like Précis and Lasted, to atmospheric works on Hymnal and Sonnet. The Benoît Pioulard Listening Matter marked the project's tenth anniversary, showcasing Meluch's ability to seamlessly merge these elements.

Meluch's journey as a musician began with collaborations and experimental rock projects before focusing on Benoît Pioulard in 2005. Releasing handmade limited-edition CD-Rs led to his debut full-length, Précis, in 2006, followed by a series of singles and albums that showcased his evolving sound. Over the years, Meluch explored different musical collaborations, such as Orcas with Rafael Anton Irisarri, and continued to release albums like Sonnet and Sylva, each reflecting his unique approach to crafting atmospheric and emotive music.
