Following the burial of BTD in 2013, the idea of reviving the band began to take shape, culminating in a decision to bring them back. The pandemic-induced lull in 2020 provided the perfect opportunity to release a vinyl version of their "Deadlight" album (2006) and craft a new song, which propelled BTD's core members to musical heights, with the album debuting at #1 on the Finnish album chart. Despite being inactive for nearly a decade, BTD has seen a resurgence, with a significant increase in Spotify followers and monthly plays, without any traditional promotional efforts.

The recent Voice of Finland 2022 competition marked a pivotal moment for BTD, as finalist Paavo Laapotti assumed all vocal duties within the band.
